Pan African Legends: Queen Mother Moore

Interview of Queen Mother Moore (1898-1997), a towering figure in the Black Freedom Movement, but not well known outside of the US black nationalist community. She was a communist, a member of Marcus Garvey's Universal Negro Improvement Association (UNIA), and an early advocate of slavery reparations. Although she was already known as Queen Mother in the US, she received the honorary title of ɔhemmaa ("Queen Mother") in Ghana when she traveled there for Kwame Nkrumah's funeral.
